Senior citizens of Utuseb earlier this week received good tidings in the form of food parcels. The Municipality of Walvis Bay received donations to the value of N$156 000 to honour its senior citizens and distributed the first set of parcels on 20 December 2019 at Kuisebmond Community Hall and Civic Centre Town Hall.
The Utuseb Community received the next batch during the inauguration of the new Utuseb Clinic, which opened its doors on Tuesday. The parcels contained non-perishable food items to supplement the elders. A total of 1,300 parcels were made up and distributed. The sponsors who made it possible are Namibia Ship Chandlers (Pty) Ltd, Freddie Fish Processors, RisCura Consulting Namibia (Pty) Ltd and Starting Right Investment 189.
