STEALING OF ERF BEACONS (IRON PEGS)<\/p>\n
It has come to the attention of the Municipality that some people are unlawfully
\nremoving (stealing) erf beacons (iron pegs) from recently surveyed areas in Walvis Bay.
\nIt should be noted that any person who deliberately removes or damages any beacon
\nwithout working under the supervision of a registered professional land surveyor, is
\ncommitting an offence and will be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine
\nnot exceeding N$2 000.00 and\/or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding six (6)
\nmonths, in accordance with the Land Survey Act, 1993 (Act No. 33 of 1993) as amended.
\nThe community of Walvis Bay is hereby encouraged to report any suspicious activities
\nassociated with the removal of beacons to any of the Municipal Offices or nearest
\nPolice Station.<\/p>\n
