DEPARTMENT OF ROADS & BULIDING CONTROL

(PATERSON GRADE LEVEL C3)

Purpose of the Job

To provide the municipality with a range of road construction, civil works and related functions. To oversee all road construction related work completed by internal and external contractors.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Educational QualificationNational Vocational Certificate (NQF Level 5) in Roads Constructions and Maintenance. OR National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Roads Construction and Maintenance / Civil Engineering.
Minimum Experience Required5 years’ experience in road construction and civil works, of which at least 2 years should have been in a supervisory position. OR 3 years’ works experience in road construction and civil works, of which at least 2 years should have been in a supervisory position.
Special RequirementDriving Licence Code B

FOREMAN: ROADS MAINTENANCE

(PATERSON GRADE LEVEL C3)

Purpose of the Job

To provide the municipality with a range of road maintenance- and related functions and to oversee all road maintenance related work completed by internal and external contractors.

Remuneration:

Basic Salary:                                    N$ 466 301.00 pa

Housing Allowance:                      N$ 195 846.42 pa

Transport Allowance:                  N$ 15 000.00 pa

OR

Rental Allowance:                         N$ 102 586.22 pa

Pension Fund membership as well as Medical Aid membership (both employee and employer contributions) are applicable.
