MANAGER: COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

(PATERSON GRADE LEVEL D3)

Purpose of the Job

To lead and manage the Community Development division thereby ensuring that the town of Walvis Bay and all its residents have effective and efficient Traffic & Law Enforcement-, Library Service-, Fire Brigade and Disaster Management, Security and Protection Services-, Sports, Youth, Culture and Recreation Parks- and Cemetery Services always.

• Liaison and Communication with various bodies
• Divisional Management

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Educational Qualification Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) in Regional and Rural Development / Community Development / Development Studies / Economics / Public Administration or Management / Law.

Minimum Experience Requirements

• 6 years’ experience in Administration and/or Community Development, of which at least 3 years should have been in supervisory/managerial capacity.
• Preference will be given to experience in local or regional authority environment.

Special Requirement

Driving Licence Code B
