Notice is hereby given in terms of section 69 of the Local Authorities Act, 1992 (Act 23 of 1992), that:
1. The provisional valuation roll of site and improvements of unmovable properties within the municipal area of Walvis Bay for general valuations for the next 5 year period commencing on 1 July 2022 lies open for inspection during ordinary office hours at the offices of the local authority council of Walvis Bay, in the Office of the Manager: Corporate Services (Room 201), Civic Centre, Nangolo Mbumba Drive, Walvis Bay for a period of twenty one (21) days from Friday 13 May 2022.
2. All owners of rateable properties in respect of which a valuation is contained in the provisional valuation roll may lodge objections thereto and the grounds for such objections shall be lodged in writing to the Secretary: Valuation Court at the undermentioned address before or on 12:00 on Friday 3 June 2022.
3. A Valuation Court will be held at the Magistrate’s Office, Sam Nujoma Avenue, Walvis Bay on Thursday 9 June 2022 at 09:00 to consider the valuations contained in the valuation roll and to hear any objections lodged in respect of any valuations contained in such roll and determine its validity.
