Strengthening support for local entrepreneurs and unlocking business opportunities were among the key issues discussed during a courtesy visit by the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB) delegation to Mayor Cllr Johannes Shimbilinga, earlier today. The delegation was led by Rino Muranda, Manager: Stakeholder Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility.
The visit forms part of NIPDB’s Erongo outreach programme, which includes visits to previously supported businesses to monitor and evaluate the impact of its interventions, identify challenges and determine where further support may be required. The programme also seeks to raise awareness of available services and opportunities for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Discussions highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration to improve access to business support services, promote investment and create an enabling environment for local entrepreneurs.
As part of the programme, NIPDB will host the NIPDB Erongo Open Day on Friday, 30 October 2026, at Kuisebmond Stadium. The event will provide entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners with an opportunity to learn about available services, support programmes and business growth opportunities.
The business community is encouraged to attend, engage with the NIPDB team, share their queries and explore opportunities for business development.
